The Most Important Issues for Parents in the Re-authorized Special Education Law
-- featuring Dixie Jordan from the PACER Center in Minnesota
This will be a Video Conference Session to the PLUK office in Billings and a stream to the internet. The speaker is Dixie Jordan from the PACER Center in Minneapolis, MN. She’ll be speaking on the new Special Education Law (IDEIA) that was passed last year and is being implemented at this time. We’ve asked Ms. Jordan to speak on the topic of The Most Important or Crucial Issues that Parents and Parent Centers Need to Be Concerned with, In the New Law. We’ve selected this topic as the new law is quite complex and lengthy and we’re interested in PACER’s take on the issues that are at the top of the list, with respect to being important for parents. Please consider attending or encouraging others to do so.
-- If you plan on attending at the PLUK Office, 516 N 32nd St in Billings, call 255-0540 to reserve a spot for the training, as space is limited.
-- To view the session over the internet, visit http://website.montanavision.net/streaming/streaming.htm to test your connection and download RealPlayer if necessary. On the day of the session, connect via http://www.real.montanavision.net/ramgen/encoder/pluk beginning about 5 minutes before the session begins.
