Parents, Let's Unite for Kids presents:
A one day seminar designed for special educators, administrators, parents,
counselors, rehabilitation professionals, speech/language pathologists,
occupational therapists, physical therapists, social workers, psychologists,
attorneys, technology support personnel and anyone interested in the field of
adapted/alternative technology for persons with disabilities.

Presenter: Roger Holt, ATP
Roger in a native Montanan. He works as the director of technology programs for Parents, Let's Unite for Kids, serving families state-wide. He serves on a number of Councils and Boards and presents nationally focusing on technology and disabilities and the realm of Assistive Technology. He's recognized nationally as a creative and talented professional in the field. Mr. Holt is a RESNA Certified Assistive Technology Practitioner.
Overview: This full-day seminar offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable information on the topic of assistive technology. The two morning sessions will cover the basic information of technology and the law and how to make technology decisions. The afternoon sessions will cover specific strategies, devices, resources and what may be expected in the future.

Please advise us at least two weeks prior to the sessions if you require any
special accommodations during the sessions or the materials in an alternate
format.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this day, participants should be able to leave with a grasp of the
following concepts:
1. An overview of the laws that pertain to assistive technology and how they may
be used to obtain devices and services.
2. How to follow a common-sense procedure to successfully determine individual
needs and implement them at home, school and work.
3. The devices and resources available to meet the diverse needs of individuals.
4. Future possibilities with regard to technology.
5. How individual needs come first.
6. If it works, you don't see the technology.
